This week, with the hair and hat finished, I moved onto rigging.

My Key Learning and Win of the Week are both the same thing, which is learning live2D itself. Initially when I had started, I was just deforming things, but realize that wasn’t really a good idea. It’s better to use ‘warp deformers’ and to layer them up. Thank god I figured that out before getting too far into it.
If you don’t, you’ll have to manually deform every single parameter combination. There’s still a ton of issues, but I’m still pretty happy with it so far. I’m also keeping in mind that I’m not making this to be an actual VTuber, it’s for animated game sprites, which means I can be limited in the things I rig.
Stress: 6? // Satisfaction: 8. Its fun so far, so I’m pretty motivated and happy I picked this project.
